How To Treat Ruptured Ear Drum?

I ruptured my ear drum over a month ago, been back and forth to the ENT they have suctioned it out and put cream in. Had two courses of antibiotics. At last appointment the ENT wanted to wait to see if the hole will heal. The pain is better but I still have a loss of hearing and its very itchy?? does this mean its healing or is it an infection, its so bad it wakes me up at night. Does it take this long to heal?? thanks

Traumatic ruptured ear drum heals well with antibiotics. Avoid using ear drops or water entry in ear. Itchy ear means infection mostly fungal even ear discharge cause Itchy sensation. Hearing not improved then mostly its not healing. If it doesn't heal by the 2 month you may need operation for same. Visit ent consultant for ear examination.
