How To Treat Several Pimple Like Spots On Legs Causing Itching?

Hello, a bunch of pimple /mosquito bite like spots have appeared on my legs, I have not gotten bit by anything, and I feel like they are spreading, it started today I think, they are very itchy but endurable, I are two burgers yesturday and I am not sure of how well they were cooked, could it be food poisoning? Also, a bunch of birthmark like small dots have appeared on most of my left arm, I haven t don t any tanning, but I did visit a swamp like area an fell in the water, had a few scratches from rusted metal/old wood, should I be worried? ( I got a tetanus shot about 3-4 years ago) Thank you very much, Iulius S.

Hi Dear,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have several pimple like spots on legs causing itching which is mainly as you developed folliculitis over the legs. It could be due to postinflammatory hyperpigmentation. Need not to worry. I would suggest you to keep area clean and dry. Avoid exposure to oily, greasy and sharp food substances. Don't worry about rusted metals scratches if you are vaccinated. Drink plenty of water. Clean the area with lukewarm water twice a day and apply an antibiotic cream like mupirocin gel over the area twice daily. Apply cotton dipped in tea tree oil and apply them on scars. Visit dermatologist once and get it examined and go for micro-peeling and dermabrasion. Take diet rich in vitamin E. You can take oral course of antibiotics as well.
