How To Treat Severe Pain In Back Of The Neck?

I am Jay, age is 36 and weight is 70 kgs.
I got neck sprain and gettig severe pain for the last 2-3 days in the back side of the neck. I took hotwater shower then in reduces but when I go to bed it pain heavily. Could you kindly suggest.
