How To Treat Severe Right Ear Pain While On Augmentin,percocet And Ear Drops?

MY ADULT DAUGHTER HAD SUDDEN ONSET OF SEVERE RIGHT EAR PAIN LAST NIGHT . SHE WAS SEEN BY AN N.P. TODAY WHO TOLD HER SHE HAD OTITIS MEDIA WITH EFFUSION. SHE STARTED HER ON AUGMENTIN;PERCOCET AND EAR DROPS. SHE IS STILL VERY UNCOMFORTABLE AFTER 2 DOSES OF PERCOCET AND ONE DOSE OF AUGMENTIN.SHOULD WE BE CONCERNED OR IS THIS EXPECTED AND IF SO WHEN SHOULD SHE START TO FEEL BETTER? ALSO SHOULD SHE SEE HER PCP TOMORROW TO BE SURE THE EARDRUM HAS NOT RUPTURED?

Hello,
It could be acute otitis media not serous otitis media.
Secondly get an ENT consultation for examination of the ear drum.
Augmentin is good medicine but it takes a day to act as blood level of drug takes time to act , continue with that.
YOu should also take in addition antihistaminic and decongestant drug so that the eustachian tube which connects the middle part of ear to the back of nose opens up and drains the fluid in middle part of ear .
Decfongestant medicine can be both oral and nasal drops.
