How To Treat Severe Stomach Cramps While Suffering From Constipation?

Hello, I am having pretty severe stomach cramps. It comes in waves and is a stabbing sensation in my abdomen. I had a small BM earlier so it doesn t seem to be from constipation. With that said, would a laxative be a possible solution to the cramping?

Hi Dear,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of severe stomach cramps while suffering from constipation which seems to be due to disturbance of electrolytic balance of body. It seems to be due to hemorrhoids, lack of fibres in diet and due to underlying systemic pathology. Need not to worry. Take oral rehydrating solution and increase fibre content in diet. You should avoid intake of outside sharp and spicy food. You should avoid intake of outside of food. I would suggest you to consult gastroenterologist for proper examination . Doctor may prescribe proton pump inhibitors along with antacids. You should eat light and non spicy , eat fresh fruits and vegetables and eat fruits like banana.

Hope your concern has been resolved.
