How To Treat Sharp Pain In Roof Of Mouth Caused After Injury?

hi doctor i have just cutted my upper roof mouth because i was thirsty drank boost energy ten minutes ago from side of can it was broken and leaking which i didnt know so when i was drinkin it from side od can where had been cut from the can because was leaking i have cutted up inside my top upper roof mouth and was bleeding and i feel it kills like get sharp pains from there please help what can i use to cure it cant sleep now please help doctor kind regards rosie

I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..

As per your complain it seems that you have lacerated your mucosa over the hard palate leading to inflammation and pain..
As you have cut the mucosa with a sharp edge of the bottle can it might be a deep cut and you need to consult an Oral Physician/ Oral Surgeon and get evaluated and a thorough clinical evaluation can help in diagnosis and treatment can be done accordingly..
In case if the cut is deep you might need stitches..
As of now you can apply a numbing gel containing Lignocaine to relieve pain..
Take anti-inflammatory painkiller like Ibuprofen..
Do cool compresses over the palate and rinse gently with cool water to reduce inflammation and pain..
You can also apply a combination of antibiotic and steroid Oral ointment over it..
