How To Treat Skin Infection Around Forearms And Lower Legs For A Ulcerative Colitis Patient?

OK here goes... I get severe joint pain after remaining still (in one position) for more than 30 minutes. This occurs mainly while sleeping in my elbows and shoulder and tends to wake me up every hour or so. After I move my arm about for a bit and stretch it out for a minute or so the pain is gone. Same thing happens while watching TV. During the day while on the move I might have slight stiffness but no pain??? I am an Ulcerative Colitis patient And have Stoma bag for the past year at the moment I have a skin infection around the stoma which has caused 2 ulcers or sores these have been treated with antibiotics and are slowly on the mend. I am not taking steroids or anti inflammatory drugs for the past 6 months. I do have a slight rash on my lower legs and forearms dont know if this is associated. Please help if you can

Hi,

You seem to suffer from multiple problems. You suffer from joint pain.. may be due to rheumatoid arthritis, ulcerative colitis and infection of skin...may be pyoderma. Consult the rheumatologist for the joint problem and gastroenterologist for the ulcerative colitis. For skin infection and rash on extremity.. may be allergy, consult the dermatologist. All consultants would examine thoroughly and necessary investigations may be done. Then only you may be treated properly by all doctors.

Hope this helps.
