How To Treat Small Bump And Stiffness In Fingers Caused After Injury?

Hello, i hit my middle knuckle quite hard by mistake last fall. It didn t seem like a major health issue at the time but this finger has been extremely stiff when i awake in the morning. There is also a small bump. Usually within 30 minutes it feels fine but yet the small bump remains and the stiffness returns the next morning.

Hello welcome to HCM. i Hope the finger is not hanging which indicates there is no fracture. Can go for simple Xray to rule out fracture. You should have given cold compression to reduce the swelling. You can take analgesics if it is very painful. Kindly go and show it to orthopaedician to rule out injury and also for immobilisation if it is needed. Take care
