How To Treat Sore Throat?

Hi, about a week ago i got the flu and i got a sore throat on one side and i noticed that there was white mucus at the top of my mouth at the back and at the back of my throat, You could scrape it but it did not come off. The sore throat went away and i didnt check to see if the white mucus was there. However today i got a sore throat again but the opposite side and i checked and there is the white mucus again what is this? The only medication i am on is Roaccutane (6) Months and Duromine (2) Months?

Hello,

The symptoms seem to be related to tonsillitis which is an infection of the tonsils. I suggest to use a throat spray for local application.

I also suggest using an anti inflammatory medication such as Acetaminophen to relieve the inflammation. The white mucus indicates a bacterial infection. So oral antibiotics may me needed to treat it.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
