Hello,
There are several causes for vaginal bleeding during pregnancy, most common cause during early pregnancy being hormone insufficiency. In the current scenario, you need to take absolute bed rest, avoid all stress including sexual intercourse, get regular follow up from your doctor and use medications as prescribed. You have been prescribed progesterone and this is safe during pregnancy. A sonogram is necessary to check fetal statistics and also for follow up. Hope this helps.
