How To Treat Stinging Sensation In Leg Due To Broken Ankle?

I have a broken ankle (L-small bone) and I'm in a cast. I'm 6 weeks in and tonight I'm having a stinging sensation where I broke my ankle. Is this healing or something I should concerned about? I don't have an appointment until next week. I was told this may be my last cast. Also, I did not have surgery. Should I be concerned with this stinging?
