How To Treat Stomach Pain And Dark Watery Stool?

Hi, My three year old baby girl is on the following prescription: Ferium XT 5 ml once daily Polybion 5ml once daily Montair LC 5 ml once daily Mebex 3.5 ml twice daily x 3 days (deworming - she took this on Sep 18, 19 & 20. Last night she had black stool, this morning she complained of pain in the stomach and passed dark watery stool. Please advise. Thanks, Sam

Hello,

The stomach ache, black stool and watery consistency indicate side effect of the iron preparation (Ferium XT). Kindly stop further dose consumption of the Ferium and she would be fine within next 48 hours of last dose.
