How To Treat Surgical Pain Post Hysterectomy?

I had a hysterectomy on Feb 27. Since this past Thursday evening I have been experiencing surging pain on the right side of the body just above the hip bone. It is almost to the point where it doubles me over. It comes and goes at times - it is not constant pain. Should I have this checked?

Presence of localised pain after surgical intervention is never normal and I feel it is advisable to get proper evaluation to find out the cause for pain.
