How To Treat Swelling And Congestion In Throat?

I have had a runny nose for several days. Now my throat (around my adam's apple) is swollen and feels congested (I have also lost my voice). I'm taking Zyrtec D twice a day and just started a Zithromyacin yesterday. Anything I can do to loosen up my throat?

In my opinion
Start antiseptic mouthwash , Plenty of fluids , Paracetemol + Ibuprofen combination , Vit C , Continue Zithromycin & Zyrtec D.
