How To Treat Swollen Finger With Puss In It?

Yes my husband has a swollen finger and its real hard and it has puss in it. We took him to the er they lanced it they didnt find anything in it. It is hurting him real bad the swelling has not went down and its still real hard. The gave him a antiobotic but it hasnt helped

Hi

Your partner seems to have developed a cellulitis of the finger. This is basically a severe infection of the area.
Since the affected area is warm and tender , it will be necessary to give him some good oral antibiotics . I would advise you to see a local doctor soon . A pus culture might also be taken from the area. Sometimes even drainage of pus of the region has to be done in severe cases.
