How To Treat Swollen Lips And Voice Hoarseness Caused Due To Allergy?

I have had what was diagnosed with allergic reaction a few times starting last summer. Was tested and am allergic to trees. I m 33 female and smoke. I have swollen lips and when I have these reactions and I do go to the hospital but they just give steroids.what should I check for?

As per our complain and presentation of symptoms swollen lips and horseness in voice due to allergy to allergy to trees need to be evaluated that which particular type of tree is causing the allergic reaction and a blood test has to be carried out for allergic testing and the antibodies formed in the body as a part of body's defence mechanism can be detected in blood and the exact allergen can be identified..

The best way to prevent allergic attack is to prevent exposure to allergen..

In case if there is still an allergic attack along with steroids anti-allergic medicines like Allegra [fexofenadine], benadryl [diphenhydramine] etc has to be taken to control allergy symptoms..

In case if along with voice horseness you also experience congestion decongestant nasal sprays and steroid based inhalers can help..
