How To Treat The Bruise On The Varicose Vein Caused By A Fall?

I fell very hard last night and a bruise came up over a varicose vein, it was previously like a round mass of spider veins, just under knee, can clearly see a bruise now, when i got up this morning i could barely straighten my leg to stand up, was painful, but was ok after 2 minutes standing. It was very painful during night and i had to put a soft pillow under my leg.

Hi. The spider veins in your light might have ruptured when you suffered the fall and therefore the blood has collected below the skin forming a hematoma. You dont need to worry. It will get better slowly. You should apply warm compresses, compression bandage over the area and you can apply Heparin ointment. It will be alright over the next 7 to 10 days. Take care,
