How To Treat The Complications Associated With Cystic Fibrosis?

my son is 36 yrs old he has cystic fibrosis and i m not sure if these symptoms are related to that but In the last 2 or three years he would out of the blue cough, cough up what looks like a blood clot and then immediately lose all function of his arms and legs, sometimes stiffening and cramping, blurred vision lasts about 45 min lately and then a headache. He is being told by the neurologist that they are migraines. Finding that hard to believe. He is still having these attacks all seem to start with a slight cough but no blood anymore. Can you help?

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

Yes, possibility of migraine like symptoms are more likely. Since, he already consulted neurologist and diagnosed as migraine attack, better to start treatment advised by neurologist.

Another important non-pharmacological measures to prevent migraine attack are:
1. Avoid stress and tension, be relax and calm.
2. Drink plenty of fluids orally and keep yourself hydrated.
3. Take sound sleep of 6-8 hours.
4. Avoid excessive sun exposure.
5. Avoid Fasting, take your meals timely.

Hope I have answered your query.
Let me know if I can assist you further.
