How To Treat The Extreme Sun Burn?

Hi, 5 day s ago I got a really bad sunburn on my back, butt, and the back of my legs. Last night my butt started peeling, I didn t peel it but it hurts really bad, and I have a long red line from where it was peelinh and it feels really rough and hurts to sit on my butt. How do I treat this to make it go away? And will there be scaring?

Hello,
Thank you for posting on HCM.
Acute sun burns are sometimes frightening but nothing to worry as its pretty easy to manage.
Generally, I advise short course of prednisolone along with local application of mometasone cream and soothing calamine lotion twice a day.
Antihistaminics and antioxidant tablets can additionally be added.
Use high SPF broad spectrum sunscreen everytime before going out in sun.
Cold sponging will definitely help.

Dont worry the condition will resolve without any scarring.

Hope this will take care of your issue.
Wish you best of health.
Thank you
