How To Treat The Knot On The Crack Area?

I'm a male, and i have a quarter size knot at the top of my but right by the crack, what can that be? It hurts to sit back in a chair, hurts when i go to stand up straight and my butt cheeks push together, and hurts when i walk. But i have no insurance to go to the doctor.

I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..

As per your complain a quarter size knot at the top of your butt right by the crack can be a Pilonidal abscess or can also be a Hair follicle infection or an infected gland in the area..

Pilonidal abscess can occur due to formation of an ingrown hair too..

I would suggest you to consult a Proctologist you can even see a general surgeon and get evaluated.

He can advise you a course of antibiotics like Augmentin, anti inflammatory painkiller like Ibuprofen to reduce inflammation and pain and topical application of antibiotic, steroid and numbing ointment..
Do warm compresses as it can ease in draining it off..
If it does not improve or start worsening then Incision and Drainage can help in faster resolution..
In case if the pain is severe you can take higher painkiller like Tramadol..
Recline in left or right lateral position to avoid pain and pressure..
