Lost voice, hoarse voice, very dry plegm reddish in tone, at times hard to clear throat of the plegm to try to speak, sore throat but not bad. typically get this around this time of year (beginning of fall, or winter). No fever, feel fine other than symptoms mentioned, very much a pain in the rear and tired of getting this.
Hi,looking at your symptoms, you might be suffering from laryngitis.(inflammation in your voice box).Allergy might be a cause.
For the treatment,Voice rest is must.Dont shout or whisper.Speak softly after taking deep breath, and only when necessary.Avoid cold/spicy/oily food.Drink lots of fluids(warm).Avoid dust and other pollutants.Do steam inhalation.
You also need to take Analgesic(like Ibuprofen),Antacid(like Rantac),Antihistaminic (like Cetrizine) and a cough expectorant(containing Ambroxol/Guaifenesin).
