How To Treat Thick And Discolored Toenails?

Hi, My toenails are thick and discoloured, making them very difficult to cut and manage. For this reason I have seen my local doctor and have since submitted some sample toenail cuttings to be tested. I recently received a call from my medical centre to inform me that the results for my nails are showing as being normal. Athough I am relieved to know that there is nothing untoward going on with my toenails, I am still left with nails that are thick and discoloured. I ve tried various nail treatments that can be bought over the counter but none seem to have any effect. What can I do? Please advise. kind regards Neil Boatswain

Hello,
Thankyou for asking here.
If the reports came normal, that means there is no fungal infection or other overlying disease..
As different people have different colour of skin, thickness of hairs ,and nails.
Until these nails are not causing alarming signs of any factor,it might be genetic only.
Hopefully I answered your question.
Regards,
Dr.Maheshwari
