How To Treat Thick Endometrial Lining?

Due to irregular and extremely heavy and painful periods and the discovery that I have a very thick endometrial lining, it is 26mm, I am schedule for a D&C on May 27th, I am wondering when I should expect another period. The D&C will occur about 4 days before my period is scheduled to start.
