How To Treat Tingling Sensation In Right Arm Caused Due To Injury?

I work for a custom meat processing plant. My boning knife slipped and cut my right forearm. I have had numbness on the top part of the right hand but now my hand tingles and I get the feeling that my hand is being scalded. What is causing this? Also when I straighten my arm I get the sensation that someone is tearing the muscle from my arm. Can afford the consult fee.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

The symptoms seem to be related to a nerve damage in the arm due to the injury. I suggest using anti inflammatory medications such as Ibuprofen to relieve the symptoms. If the symptoms continue, I suggest to see a neurologist for further evaluation.

Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Dorina Gurabardhi, General & Family Physician
