How To Treat Tonsillitis?

Hello Doctor,I felt tonsil on the left side 4 days ago and got fever upto 102. At first not noticing that it was tonsil i just took medicine comprises of paracetamol i.p.500mg phenylephrine 10 mg chiorpheniramine maleate 4mg. but tonsil is getting large. And in the tonsil there is like white layer covering most of tonsil. Could you suggest me what precaution should i take to get out of it

hello,thanks for your query , it seems that you might be having acute tonsillitis.in case of tonsillitis u need to take antibiotic course with pain killers as advised by an ent surgeon.kindly visit an ent surgeon.suggestions like salt water gargling, avidence of common cold, avoidence of consuming cold drinks, ice creams, fridge water.all the best.take care.
