How To Treat Torn Calf Muscle?

I have torn calf muscle happened a week ago have been using ice and elevating, crutches when I get up MRI showed torn calf muscle it is not getting better my leg down to toes are very swollen and very sore is there anything else I can do? I am taking pain pills haven t slept due to swelling and pain.

Hello,
I am sorry you have this injury. Stop the ice. It may be impairing your ability to heal. Ice is okay in the first few hours after an injury but should not be used after that. If it continues not to heal you may need to talk to a surgeon about a repair. See your doctor again soon.
