How To Treat Torticollis?

My eight year old son suddenly could not move his neck last week. He was also in a lot of pain. I took him to the doctor who diagnosed torticollis. He recommended he start phsiotherapy immediately and take some painkillers, like paracetamol. About four days laater the pain went completely but my son's head/neck does not appear to be the samen his head seems to be tilting to the right. The physiotherapist said tha the left neck muscle has been flattened and he needs to exercise it and overtime he should be back to normal. He also recommeded a neck collar and no physical activity for a while. I wanted to get a second aopinion and saw a recommended orthoppaedic surgeon. He said that there nothing to worry abour about but says if I am still worried in a couple of weeks we might have to do an xray or MRI. He asked us to stop the physio and my son should not bother to wear the collar. He feels it is of no effect I am very worried as I definitely feel something is not right. My son's posture is definitely not the same. Grateful for your advise.
