Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I am a 30 year old female with health problems. I was diagnosed with a tumor on my pituitary gland after having high prolactin levels. Recently my blood work showed low iron, low hemoglobin, low magnesium, low potassium, low calcium and a high white blood cell count. I ve been very tired, weak, sore, and just very exhausted with no ambition for anything in my daily life. I am concerned for myself as is people around me notice the big difference in my overall health. I am searching for answers to be healthier. Please inform me of the possibilities of what this could mean! Thank you for your time and expertise on the matter.
Your iron deficiency anemia, low magnesium and potassium levels are clearly the sole reason for your presentation. I would strongly recommend a blood transfusion as I am assuming your levels are quite low warranting a transfusion and the initiation of oral supplements. Please do not lose hope as your problem is not at all serious and is something we can easily treat, approach a doctor please.
Best wishes.
