How To Treat Urinary Incontinence And Erectile Dysfunction?

Well Doctor, I just watched a tv promotion with Daniel Amen And one of his food recommendations was ginkgo. I saw how ancient the tree was And already eat a lot of the food recommended by him - with ending Memory problems and brain improvement. Recently I have developed urinary problems and as a veteran, I take the pills they recommend as my erection is also problematic and I was given a pump system to lead to Sexual connection again - I have not been able to have erections - the pump is small and take time to work, I guess because I didn t take the keep trying. Soon I will be 79 And Look and feel fairly well - I eat and keep Up with the foods Amen pushed for brain, heart and health. I will learn more soon visiting the great hospital Va in Richmond - In Nov/Dec a penis catheter showed prostrate bulge that effects my urination - pills I got are supposed to control by now the urge to urinate that comes on a lot And if I do not get to pee quickly! It runs into my clothes and floor. I am in good condition And would like to date/meet ladies, but as is - Well Sir Doctors - Any Help/Advise will be especially appreciated ..... Jack Bell

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

Urinary incontinence is common among women after 50 and usually is caused by urinary infections or weakened pelvic floor. This is also a common and often embarrassing problem. If over-reactive or incontinent bladder affects your daily activities, don't hesitate to see your doctor. For most people, simple lifestyle changes or medical treatment can ease discomfort. It is treated with specific medications, pelvic floor muscles exercises, electric stimulation of behavioral treatment and in most cases this is adequate for incontinence control. If Cystitisis is a cause as an bacterial infection then it must be treated with antibiotics.
Surgical options are reserved for severe and intractable cases.

Hope I have answered your query.
