Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have a problem of urinary infection in my report PUS cells s 5-7 & my epithelial cells is 30-35......how can I rectify this & it l affect if am become pregnant???....my first baby is died due to severe IUGR & internal bleeding ...I have to take a treatment for second baby???how many years I leave a gap
the 30-35 epithelial cells probably indicate a bad urine sample. Did you have symtpoms? Without fever and without symptoms, no treatment is indicated, unless you're pregnant now. If you have symptoms then you should take antibiotics. You should give a new urine sample. Try to do it right this time. Clean the external genitalia with water, spread open the external labia, let some urine in the toilet and fill the sterile cup with your midstream urine. Take the specimen to the lab as soon as possible (no later than 45-60 minutes because bacteria may grow even if you have no infection).
If or when you have more results (or symptoms) to show to me, I'll be glad to discuss this situation with you.
So in conclusion, no treatment is needed unless you're pregnant now or you have symptoms (or fever). A new urinalysis and perhaps urine culture would be helpful!
Kind Regards!
