How To Treat Vaginal Yeast Infection During Pregnancy?

I am 24 weeks pregnant with my first. Last week a doctor prescribed me an antibiotic for a sinus infection and that caused me to get a vaginal yeast infection, is it safe to use vaginal ovules such as Gyno-candizol? A doctor already prescribed it but I wanted another opinion

Hello and welcome,

It is safe to take gyno candizol as it has a local action and will not harm the baby. So please do not worry and go ahead and take it.

I would also advise a blood sugar test as you had two infections and sometimes blood sugar tends to increase during pregnancy predisposing to infections. So just get it checked to rule this out and you should be fine.

Wish you a happy pregnancy.

Hope this satisfies your query.
