How To Treat Vertigo And Constant Noise In Ears?

My father is suffering from vertio, due to which there is constnt noise in his ears...
his hearing abilities has decreased like anything.the noise is also sometime unbearable.
Please give a proper giudance.He is hoevere taking medications which are of no use.
