How To Treat Weakness Of Memory Inspite Of Suffering From ADHD And Anxiety?

I am a 54 year old male. My Psychiatrist is dropping me and I need to know if I should see a Psychiatrist, or a Neurologist, as I have Aspergers Syndrome. I take Rx medicine for my ADHD and Anxiety. However, my attention and memory(short-term and working memory) is deteriorating and I am concerned.

Hi,

Asperger's syndrome is a developmental disorder. Your problem can be a side effect of the ADHD medicine your are taking. Please discuss this with your psychologist and get the medicine changed.as per need. It can be due to progress of the Asperger's syndrome itself due to depression and lack of confidence.

In my view you need to consult a neuro-physician, in order to know extent of disease process followed by needful management. A psychotherapist counselling along with tips for behavioral pattern would help along with medication advised by neuro-physician.
