Hello there,

Thanks for writing your query.

Plaque is soft deposits on the teeth surface and prosthesis in the oral cavity,if not removed become mineralised and hard known as calculus.

Lower incisors and upper 1st molars are the most common site of plaque deposition.

Calculus can not be removed by brushing,so i would suggest you visit a dentist in your area and get the thorough scaling and polishing done at the earliest otherwise it will results in gingivitis in which inflammation of gums and in severe cases bleeding also present.

Hope this will be helpful.

Take care.

Hi shanmugam,

Welcome to HCM.
Removing dental plaque is not easy without proper instruments. If you attempt to remove them you may damage your gum.
Consult a dental surgeon. They can easily remove all plaques and clean your teeth.
After that use good toothpaste such as "Colgate Total" which retards plaque formation, and brush your teeth twice daily, in correct manner.

Hi
Welcome to healthcare magic forum

Plaque is a thick , hard deposit on the teeth, that accumulates over time. It has to be removed mechanically by a dentist.

Not just for cosmetic reasons, but to prevent or deal with periodonatal disease, it has to be removed. Plaque causes inflammation of gums , bleeding gums etc.

Visit a dentist.
Takecare.
