How To Unclog Ear?

My right ear has been clogged up very badly for the last week, when I went to an urgent care and was diagnosed with an ear infection and given Clarithromycin and Antipyrine/Benzocaine OTIC. However, my ear is still really clogged, and now I can t hear out of it..What can I do to make this better?

Hi.
Thanks for your query.
Since you have been already diagnosed as ear infection, means there is fluid or a pus inside the intact ear drum making it immobile, giving the feeling of the blocked ear.
Once the infection settles and does not relieve by perforation and letting the pus dome out , it may take upto 3 weeks for resolution.
So either way is to have a long course of medicines or to go for a small surgery called tympanotomy. Here a small cut is made into the tympanic membrane ad fluid is sucked out. The results will be immediate.
