How To Use Misoprostol?

Hello Doctor, i m a pregnant since 6 weeks and having Gestapro kit (combipack of mifepristone and misoprostol). I had taken mifepristone last night at 9pm. So, can you suggest me at what time that i have to take misoprostal in right time and also tell me how to use misoprostol. Thank you.

Hello & Welcome to HCM,

I had gone through the case and I will advise to go for ultrasound to rule out the uterine pregnancy. If there is tubal pregnancy then it will be dangerous for you.

If there is uterine pregnancy then after 48-72hrs of Mifepristone take Misoprostol 4 tablet 200mg each (total 800mg)under tongue or can put vaginal.

Symptoms will be appear after 4-5 hrs of tablet.

These are-

Severe abdominal pain.

Nausea with vomiting.

Heavy Bleeding.

So some body should be with you to give support.

After stopping of bleeding go for ultrasound of abdomen to know the condition of uterus and not any retained placenta.

Check for anemia and take proper rest and proper healthy diet for 1-2 months .
