Hi, I m 53 yrs old and have been on HRT estrodial patch since my hysterectomy at 42. I m worried about my fibrosistic breast disease among other things. how should I come off. Last attempt cold turkey a year ago with severe hot flashes and depression.

Removal ofestrogen patch after a long term of usage will cause withdrawal symptoms like hot flushes.
You should remove the patch and switch over to oral estrogen, the dose of which can be gradually tapered down and finally stopped.
