Psychiatrist 's  Response
Hello Welcome to HCM

Concerta is methylphenydate and it is commonly used in ADHD (attention deficit diosrders) and a variety of other disorders and even in depression. He is taking the drug since 5 months and is on 35 mg per day. The agitation and anxiety could be due to concerta. If you want to taper the dose of drug then best way is to decrease the doses about 25% every two weeks and stop the drug after about 6-8 weeks. In this manner the withdrawal symptoms will not occur.
Consult your psychiatrist for details of dose tapering.

Hope this helps you, thanks.
