How To Withdraw From Tramadol?

Hi - I am trying to wean myself off Tramadol 50mg capsules, I have got down from 8 a day to 2 a day but am struggling with lots of side effects. My doctor has just prescribed me Codeine which I am reluctant to take, he says that it is difficult to come off the Tramadol because of the addictive properties,any ideas

Hi,

Tramadol intake may can cause dependence. It is removed slowly. sudden withdrawal may lead to symptoms. Along with it you may use Methadone or Benzodizepins for weaning. Please consult your treating doctor he will examine and treat you accordingly.
