How We Can Treat Problem In Optic Nerves?

sir my mom vision has became dim due to problem in optic nerves. she is a type 1 diabetic. and she got brian infection infection this year so, the doctor has advised him medicines . but the two medicines named pyzina and combutal has caused a side effect on her optic nerve. so please help me about this problem..?

Hello
It seems from the history that your mother was given pyrazinamide and ethambutol for treatment of brain infection following which she is having poor vision.
This is probably because of adverse effect of the these drugs on the optic nerve called as toxic optic neuropathy.
The treatment is by stopping these drugs and use of vitamin B complex. The visual recovery depends on the severity of the optic nerve damage.
