How Would A Cystic Structure In Posterior Fossa Affect The Pituitary Gland Function?

How would a 3.3 cm extra axial cystic structure in the posterior fossa, adjacent to the posterior aspect of the cerebellum, consistent with arachnoid cyst which causes only mild mass effect upon the vermis and medial aspect of the cerebellum hemispheres.......How would this affect pituitary gland function?
