Husband Had L5-S1 Hemilaminotomy And Microdiscectomy In Sep 2014. Then

Husband had L5-S1 hemilaminotomy and microdiscectomy in Sep 2014. Then left hip replacement in March 2015. For the past several months he has been experiencing excruitiating pain from his left buttock down around to the side of the left leg that will not go away. Hip surgeon did a bone scan to make certain the hip replacement was not causing this. Bone scan came back clean. Now he's sending him for an MRI of the lower back/spine thinking that L3 might be the culprit. Does this sound right to you?
