the defenitive treatment for the cholecystitis is surgery with the removal of gall bladder. as you have stone also there may be further complications of stone. for the time being it would be antibiotics and no food by mouth with only intravenous fluids. the medical treatment with antibiotics and gut rest would be successfull but is at your risk. i believe the laproscopic surgery is the best option.
sorry to persist but i will only be able to go for surgery in june.can u perhaps advise if i can wait till then.my ultra sound report was as follows
THE GALLBLADDER IS MODERATELY DISTENDED N SHOWS IRREGULAR MUCOSAL THICKENING.A LARGE STONE 1.5CM IN DIAMETER IS DEMONSTRATED WITHIN THE GALLBLADDER LUMEN.IN ADDITION SIGNIFICANT AMOUNT OF BILIARY SLUDGE IS DEMONSTRATED.FINAL COMMENT;IMAGING FEATURES ARE IN FAVOUR OF CALCULI CHOLECYSTITUS.THANX
