I Am 21 Weeks Pregnant And I Am Having Palpitations Frequently

hi. I am 21 weeks pregnant and im having palpitations frequently. I experienced palpitations even before i was pregnant bu not this often. I was laying down resting and all of a sudden they began. I dont know what s causing them and what to do about it. Please help me. It s really scary. I am worried about the baby.

This happens to me as well I am 13 weeks pregnant. They happened to me before also but not as bad. I told my doc about them today and she says it could be my thyroid. If not, she is sending me to a cardiologist. Hope this helps!

palpitations may be with exertion if you are anaemic
please get a check up with obstetrician and get tests done
some times frequent palpitation in pregnancy or as you have said it was before pregnancy alsomay be associated with underlying heart disease
. your doctor will guide you if it is suspected
please do not worry
there are many other reasons like hyper function of yhyroid or even may be due to anxiety and apprehension

One gets palpitations while pregnant ,but as you mentioned that you used to have it before also you should consult to the doctor.Try to also note down the symptoms and their are a quit numbers of causes so all the best.
