In Ayurvedic medicinal texts this disease is mentioned as Tarunya Pitika. The etiopathology of the disease is considered due to vitiated Blood (Rakta Dushti) along with vitiated Kapha and Vata. Vitiated Kapha blocks the normal excretory function of skin and get the waste material stagnated inside, producing symptoms like itching, pustules and nodules formation. Vitiated Rakta that also get stagnated and produces multiple irruptions, redness, raised local temperature, thick bloody discharge from the boils and abscess formation. Then irritation, blackish discoloration and ugly scar formation is worked out by Vitiated Vata.


Raktamokshan (Blood letting) is a well-accepted treatment for Vitiated Rakta Dosha.

Much better results can be obtained with supplementation of internal medicine and local application of Lepa (Face pack).
Face pack made up of Lodhra(Symlocos racemosus), Vacha(Acorus Calamus), Dhanyak(Coriandrum Sativum), Chandan(Santalum album) and Ushir(Vettiveria Zizanioides) is very beneficial.
Smooth paste of Jatiphala(Myristica Fragrance) will help to remove black spots of remnants of acne.
Blood purifiers like Sariva(Hemidesmus Indicus), Anantmula(Tylophora Asthmatica), Guduchi(Tinospora Cordifolia) and Manjishtha(Rubia Cordifolia) are used for internal medication.

The Ayurvedic consider Acne due to impurities of blood and treatment of acne should be purifying the blood. Natural herbal preparation for purifying the blood inlcuding local applying , oral medicine should be administered for better cure. The herbs like neems, guduchi,vacha, Dhanyak is very useful in skin.Regular wash of wash is recommended after outing. Dont put anything commercial beauty cream in skin. Avoid from allergy and use the herbal face wash to clean skin rather than soaps.

Hello,
Acne is caused due to changes in the pilosebaceous units. They may occur in different forms like comedones,papules, pustules, cysts and nodules. Since you have to pop your acne, it seems more of the pustular variety .
In cases of severe acne, underlying diseases like PCOD (polycystic ovarian disease) and Thyroid needs to be ruled out. Hence any other associated symptoms along with the acne becomes important.
In the meanwhile
1) Use an antidandruff shampoo to wash your hair. Wash your hair atleast 2 times/wk
2) Avoid pricking or breaking the acne , as that would increase the acne
3) Avoid rubbing the face while washing or wiping your face, pat it dry
4) Avoid or minimize the use of cosmetics and oil bases creams.
5) Drink plenty of water--atleast 10-12 glasses/day
6) A healthy balanced diet as against junk foods is advised.
7) In case of any other associated symptoms, visit to your family physician is indicated, who might suggest certain tests.

Acne is a very common problem and not to touch them with unhygenic cloth or unwashed hands is a must to prevent acne marks. Washing of face with slight tepid water clears dust and dirt. I even prefer to avoid local applicatins for permanent relief as it has been noticed that with only topical application there is recurrance. I prescribe mahamanjishtha arisht with tab. gandhak rasayan and tab . allerin, Tab. Radona can be added in stuborn cases.

.Methi-the bitter plant.Its seeds have healing properties for acne scars.They are taken and boiled with water.About 1 tsp of seeds in 1 liter of water is the proportion that needs to be taken. After that,the solution is brought down to room temperature and put on the acne scars.
..Pudina-The juice of about fifteen leaves is extracted through muslin and is applied on the areas where the scars are prominent. Regular treatment removes the scars.
..Chandana-plant to be kept soaked in water for a whole night and use the paste obtained in the morning for application on the skin,directly on the scars.With a few minutes the paste will begin to harden as it dries out.This is then cleaned by washing or rubbing off with a wet sponge.
Neem -The leaves are simply kept in communication with the skin in some way,for as long and as many times as needed, and the scars simply disappear.
