I have a rather large knot on the inside of my right knee and you cant see it unless the knee is bent can you please put my mind at ease? I am 51 old female with diabetes , high triglycerides and thyroid problems.Thanks

You might have bursitis or some osteophytes or osteoartheritis due to degenerative changes in the knee joint.
Go for X-ray and find out the cause.
