Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I am 67 years old and will be traveling to Ecuador in mid January. We will be spending 3 days in the Amazon in a zone of concern for Yellow Fever. I am otherwise in excellent health. Should I get the yellow fever vaccine given concerns about administering it to older folk? In other words, are the odds of an adverse reaction to the vaccine greater than the odds of contracting yellow fever if I did not get vaccinated?
Thanks.
