I Am A 68 Year Old Female With Hypothyroidism. TSH

I am a 68 year old female with hypothyroidism. TSH test showed my numbers are 5.17. My doctor recommended I take Levothyroxine (25mg). The warning on the package (Lannett Pharmaceutical) said: "THIS MEDICATION MAY CAUSE CHOKING, GAGGING OR TROUBLE SWALLOWING BECAUSE THE PILL DISSOLVES VERY QUICKLY AND THE PILL SWELLS UP, CAUSING THE CHOKING, GAGGING, ETC." I HAVE DIFFICULTY SWALLOWING PILLS TO BEGIN WITH. WHY WOULD I WANT TO TAKE THE RISK OF THIS PILL SWELLING UP IN MY THROAT IF IT GETS CAUGHT IN MY THROAT? My doctor told me to take it anyway. I am very uncomfortable about taking it. I have not taken it and I don't want to for this very reason. Why would a pharmaceutical company make a pill that swells up and can choke a person? I just don't know what to do.
