I Am A Lady Aged 51, Suffer With Severe Back

I am a lady aged 51, suffer with severe back problems, but this question is not in relation to my back, but to the following... I have had pain in my left side and abdomen are, (around area of ovaries) since July. Sometimes it gets so bad it is like a sharp object being stuck in you. It can last for hours. I had thermal ablation done approx 4 years ago, as had very heavy periods then. I have recently had ultra sound scan, and internal and think this is called ct scan (dye injected) and also ultra sound scan on kidneys area. A cyst on the ovaries did show on the ct scan but not on any others, nothing was done about it. Can this pain be in any way linked to thermal ablation I had or what can the problem be?
