I Am Caring For A Family Friend Who Has Untreated

I am caring for a family friend who has untreated head and neck cancer. In June, he had to have a colostomy due to a ruptured colon. A couple of days ago, we took him to the er for bad pains in his abdomen. They did a CT scan and didn't find anything, sent him home. Since then, he has been dry heaving, and when he does throw up, its green/black fluid. He hasn't ate in 5 days, he isnt getting out of bed, and he refuses to go back to see a doctor at all. Is this an indication that we are at the end?
